The Carte Rose delegations met from 16 to 20 January 2023 for the 26th ordinary session of the Carte rose Cémac Board of Bureaux. They came from the five other member states of Communauté économique des États de l' Afrique centrale (Cémac).

The 26th session of the Carte Rose has, according to Olivier Mebiame, Gabon's National Insurance Director, “as the main item on the agenda, the examination and adoption of the 2023 budget.” Indeed, the Carte Rose Cémac is a body that makes it possible to pay for cross-border insurance, in addition to designating the card that is received after taking out an automobile insurance policy and allowing vehicles from one Cémac country to drive in another country in the zone, without having to take out a new one. insurance in the host country.

On the sidelines of these five days of meeting, the Arbitration Commission held its proceedings. Michel Djimadoum, president of the Carte Rose Board of Bureaux, recalled that in 25 years of existence, the Carte Rose has registered 6,986 claims for a payment of 2 billion FCFA. The claims paid are estimated at 800 million FCFA.
