At the end of the trading session on Thursday, January 19, 2023, the market capitalization of the bond market of the Regional Securities Exchange (BRVM) recorded a strong increase of 260.264 billion FCFA

At the end of January 19, the market capitalization of the bond market rose from 8815.638 billion FCFA on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 to 9075.902 billion FCFA. Indeed, this performance is caused by the first listing of bonds issued by the State of Côte d'Ivoire called <>< TPCI 5,65% 2022-2029> and <>. The distribution of these titles to the public took place from September 23 to October 7, 2023 at the price of 10,000 FCFA per bond.

19.8 million TPCI bonds 5.65% 02/2029 and 6,794,406 TPCI bonds 5.75% 02/2032 for an amount of 265.944 billion FCFA had been subscribed on the UEMOA financial market at the end of this operation. Meanwhile, the stock market capitalization fell by 4.319 billion, from 7338.585 billion FCFA the previous day to 7334.266 billion FCFA on January 19, 2023. The total value of transactions fell again to 348.469 million FCFA against 532.191 million FCFA the day before.

The situation is mixed on the three indexes. Indeed, the BRVM 30 index (index of the 30 most traded stocks on the market) increased by 0.11% to 96.92 points compared with 96.81 points the day before. The composite index (the general stock market index) fell 0.06% to 197.14 against 197.26 points the day before, while the BRVM Prestige index (index grouping all the stocks listed in the Prestige compartment) lost 0.04% to 99.63 points compared with 99.67 points the day before.

The top 5 largest price declines were occupied by Solibra Ivory Coast (minus 7.50% to 75,850 FCFA), CFAO Ivory Coast (minus 7.10% to 785 FCFA), Nestlé Ivory Coast (minus 5.40% to 7,100 FCFA), Vivo Energy Côte d'Ivoire (minus 1.33% to FCFA) 740 FCFA) and BICICI Côte d'Ivoire (minus 0.81% to 6,150 FCFA). and the TOP 5 of The largest price increases were respectively occupied by SOGB Côte d'Ivoire (plus 7.48% to 5,750 FCFA), Uniwax Côte d'Ivoire (plus 6.67% to 800 FCFA), Air Liquide Côte d'Ivoire (plus 6.45% to 660 FCFA), SAPH Côte d'Ivoire (plus 5.42% to 5,060 FCFA) and Société Ivoirienne de Banque Côte d'Ivoire (plus 3.45% to 4,645 FCFA) and Société Ivoirienne de Banque Côte d'Ivoire (plus 3.45% to FCFA).
