Le président de la Haute autorité pour la bonne gouvernance (HABG), N'Golo Coulibaly affirmed on Monday, January 17, 2023 that Côte d'Ivoire has made progress in the fight against bribery.

During the ceremony to present the greetings of his staff at the institution's headquarters in Abidjan Cocody, Coulibaly said: “As a result, I note with great satisfaction that Côte d'Ivoire has recorded significant progress in the fight against corruption in recent years, as shown by the evaluations of international good governance and corruption monitoring bodies around the world, including the MCC, the Mo Ibrahim Foundation and Transparency International.” For him, at the MCC level, the qualifying indicator “Corruption Control” went green in 2022 with a satisfactory performance of 58% compared with 42% in 2021.

The President of the HABG also stressed that these results were achieved thanks to the demonstrated political will of the President of the Republic, Alassane Ouattara, who has made the fight against corruption one of his priorities as well as the fruits of the efforts of his institution's staff who have worked in synergy with other actors to achieve these objectives.
