Dimitri Malinovsky, the main defendant in the La Rochepot financing case (Côte-d'Or), was sentenced on Thursday, December 8, 2022 to four and a half years in prison, including six months suspended, and 100,000 euros of amende . He is accused of money laundering by the Nancy Criminal Court.

Accused of using false identity papers, concealed work and possession of weapons, Dimitri Malinovsky was also sentenced to a ban on visiting the four departments of the former Burgundy region. He has already spent more than three years in pre-trial detention and under extradition custody, with 11 months to go.

At the end of the hearing, the defendant declared that he did not agree with this conviction. According to Benoît Diry, his lawyer, it is a disappointment and “the question of an appeal arises.” Similarly, in addition to Dimitri Malinovsky, four other defendants received suspended prison sentences ranging from two years to four months. Among the four are the former wife and the former mistress of the accused, both of Ukrainian nationality. They are sentenced to one year suspended and 30,000 euros respectively amende , and two years suspended. The former mistress is also banned from French territory for five years.
