On Friday, December 2, 2022, the trial of the President of the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH), Kalifa Yemboado Rodrigue Namoano, and 7 other defendants in the CNDH case continued at the Ouaga 1 High Court.

The trial of the CNDH case began on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at the Ouaga 1 High Court. It continued the following day with further interviews with the defendants, witnesses and requests from the various parties. The hearing was devoted to the follow-up of the interviews of the defendants and to the pleadings of the prosecution, the civil party and the defense. The defendants were called to the stand. They are defendants Kalifa Yemboado Rodrigue Namoano, President of the CNDH and his former DAF, Thierry Roland Zida. Lawyers' questions went more to the 1st Administrative and Financial Director (DAF) of the CNDH, Zida. He acknowledged his share of responsibility for the introduction of competing invoices, which proved to be the door to fraud and forgery in private letters.

The prosecutor requested a sentence of 36 months in prison, including 12 months in prison, and a firm fine of 3 million CFA francs for acts of public procurement fraud, abuse of office and complicity in forgery in private writing.
