A delegation from GIZ led by its portfolio manager, Philipp Lendle, was received in Kinshasa at the home of the Minister of State, Minister of Justice and Attorney, Rose Mutombo Kiese on November 22, 2022. A working session was held on the occasion of the meeting with the aim of planning new projects between the governments of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Germany.

The projects planned during the meeting between the representatives of the two countries are focused on combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism. “We had a good chat with the Minister of State, Minister of Justice and the Attorney General, Rose Mutombo Kiese. We are very happy to have had this working session with her on the planning of our projects on these two scourges,” said the portfolio manager of the GIZ delegation.

According to her, “the Minister of State, Minister of Justice and Attorney General is very happy that the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany will embark on the process of reforming the draft law on combating money laundering and the financing of terrorism with the government of the Democratic Republic of Congo” ;. She thus reassured the GIZ delegation that it supports this bill, which will be debated and adopted in Parliament.
