They discussed the support of the pan-African financial institution in carrying out priority development projects in Gabon.
A press release from the presidency notified that during the meeting between the two officials, the President of the Pan-African Financial Institution expressed his willingness to support the Government of the Republic in carrying out priority projects for Gabon. It will thus intervene in the areas of water and energy (PIEPAL, Kinguélé-Tchimbélé, PASiGL), telecommunications, transport, road infrastructure, agri-food (Graine program) and the employability of young people, according to the press release.
Ali Bongo Ondimba expressed the wish for “greater readability and visibility of ADB action on projects falling under its vision as part of the reforms implemented in Gabon”. With regard to Akinwumi Ayodeji Adesina, he indicated “that he is in line with the vision of the President of the Republic concerning the diversification of our economy and the reduction of Gabon's dependence on natural resources, particularly oil”.
